New Year, New Website

Hey there, Reader, Happy New Year!

Anyone else figuring out life a little at a time?

The beginning of a new year sometimes brings pressure for us to decide in advance what the whole year will look like. We make resolutions, create vision boards, purge, obsess over things that went unfinished in the previous year, etc. . .

Admittedly, I've done some combination of all the above in previous years and maybe even a little of it this year. HOWEVER, nothing I thought would happen for NYE or NYD happened and I was so proud of myself for just allowing the year to begin in the quiet that it demanded.

Aside from sending some energy in VP Harris' direction and holding vigil for what we collectively lost on January 6, 2021, I did not participate in any political "stuff" yesterday. I put my head down and minded the business that pays me.

That being said, I am making some gradual updates to my website (www.thequietrebel.org) so that I can more clearly communicate how The Quiet Rebel plans to serve you in the coming months. I'd love your feedback, Reader. Your voice matters to me.

**Reminder - tomorrow (on my birthday) we kick off Wicked-Ish Wednesdays. There's still time to sign up.

Spaces are limited!

We've got a good group registered for this series and there is room for a few more. We'd love for you to join us.

In case you're new to Tuesdays w/ TJae, you should know that you won't receive emails from me every Tuesday, or on any particular Tuesday - but always (well, normally) on a Tuesday. As a child, whenever we'd visit my Grandpa James, he'd end the visit by saying "See you Tuesday," no matter when we were scheduled to see him again. So this newsletter is part nod to James Rivers, and part nod to my love of alliteration.

See you Tuesday!

The Quiet Rebel 06.03.25 Tuesdays w/TJae: Returning Home Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Hey there, Reader, Happy Tuesday! I've been away for a while - thought I'd pop in today. I didn't mean to stay away from y'all so long. I've mostly just had my head down - trying to adjust to a world with fewer liberties and increasing trauma. AND trying with all my might to maintain my joy in the process. I had such high expectations for 2025 - we were going to focus on Stories that Shape Us. And...

The Quiet Rebel 04.15.25 Tuesdays w/TJae: Can you find your birth certificate? Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Reader, I'm tired. Are you tired? I don't want to upset you any further than you may be already. I care about our relationship and do not wish you any harm. AND . . . there's a few (more than a few - actually a shyt ton) things that require someone's attention. *I typed and deleted a sentence just now because I had a thought that feels more true.* ALL the things we have been...

The Quiet Rebel 04.01.25 Tuesdays w/TJae: Filibusters and Protests Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Hey there, Reader! It's April 1st and you won't find a prank inside because there is plenty of foolishness and more than enough fools already . . . Last night I listened as long as I could to Senator Cory Booker as he launched into his speech. I had been referring to it as a filibuster, but I now understand that term is used specifically when the person intends to delay a vote. What...
