Tuesdays w/TJae:
I don't do this often

Hi Reader!

I don’t do this often.

Ask directly, I mean.

I show up. I share. I put the work out and trust that the right people will find it. That has served me well for a long time.

But today, I’m just going to say the thing.

I have space on my calendar for the rest of this year, and I’m ready to fill it with the right rooms.

If we’ve worked together before, I would love to come back, and there’s a good chance I’ll be reaching out to you directly. Or if you already know we’re overdue to be in the room together, reach out.

And if you know the person in your organization who makes these calls…

Please introduce us.

I get that the HUMAN framework might feel a little vague because we’re all still learning it together. But here’s what it looks like in practice:

  • A team that keeps circling the same issue
  • A meeting where something feels off, but no one names it
  • A leader making decisions without fully seeing where they land
  • A group that has stopped trying

I help teams slow down long enough to make better decisions. To actually think about impact. To name what’s real and move forward with intention.

That shows up as workshops. Facilitated team experiences. A diagnostic that shows a team exactly where their decision culture is right now. And a practice called Decisions, Decisions that puts leaders in the room with the questions they’ve been avoiding.

If it’s helpful, you can simply say:

“You should talk to Tracie Jae. I think her work can help us.”

Or if you're on LinkedIn, please interact with and share my posts.

That’s the ask. **releasing the breath I was holding this whole time - blowing copious amounts of bubbles**

I’m asking the people who know my work and my reputation to connect me to the people who don’t… but should.

Please and thank you.

And also…

I woke up this morning thinking about the difference between caring about someone and caring for them.

Caring about someone can exist entirely in your feelings. Caring for someone usually requires action.

Last week, I had a little health situation (ER little; but way better now). I learned / was reminded that there are people who care about me and people who care for me and sometimes - actually pretty often - those people are the same people.

Thank you for being part of my community of care.

May the people who care about you, also care for you . . .

LOVE first. Always.

In case you're new to Tuesdays w/ TJae, you should know that you won't receive emails from me every Tuesday, or on any particular Tuesday - but always (well, normally) on a Tuesday. As a child, whenever we'd visit my Grandpa James, he'd end the visit by saying "See you Tuesday," no matter when we were scheduled to see him again. So this newsletter is part nod to James Rivers, and part nod to my love of alliteration.

See you Tuesday!

The Quiet Rebel 07.14.26 Tuesdays w/TJae: Leaders are Trusted to Decide Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Hey Reader - Did you know that organizations spend billions of dollars each year developing leaders? In 2025, U.S. organizations spent an estimated $102.8 billion on workplace training. Leadership training was also the most common career-development practice identified in LinkedIn Learning’s 2025 report. We are clearly investing in leadership. The question that's bugging me is: When...

The Quiet Rebel 06.02.26 Tuesdays w/TJae: Short Tales by Tracie Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Hi Reader! Will you join me for a short stroll down memory lane? In February 1984, sixth-grade Tracie Jeanette Rivers published a book. It started as a school assignment. The result - a book. It was called Short Tales by Tracie. It included three original stories, hand-drawn illustrations by my father's coworker Sandra Craft, a publishing company called Rivershouse Publishers, and all the...

The Quiet Rebel 06.02.26 Tuesdays w/TJae: Anger as an Invitation Share this, and previous newsletters. ↓ Hi Reader! Anger and meanness are not the same thing. It sounds obvious when written down, but I’m not sure we act like that’s true. Many of us learned that anger is bad. Unprofessional. Unkind. Something to avoid, suppress, or smooth over as quickly as possible. But anger is an emotion. Meanness is a choice. I’ve met angry people who were deeply thoughtful, compassionate, and committed to...
